Default Radial tire air pressure

What is common air pressure for a radial tire? I run a 29.5/9 M/T with a 3300 car thanks Jason

I've run as low as 17psi, but the tires want to move on the rim that low. 20psi is where we normally run @ 3000 pounds.

With Hoosier 30x9 I have ran 18 up to 24 at 3300 lbs. SBC crate motor combo and 305 legal stocker. Used on my 67 Firebird, and also on my 87 Firebird. I really did not see any difference from about 21 to 24 on a good track, 60' or top end. Have heard some going even higher, but I never tried. Lower was better on hot - marginal track.

I have a set of the MT bracket pro's 28x9 on the 67 right now with 427"sbc bracket motor, and while I have limited time on them, really liking them. Very consistent so far, and have hooked very well with the bigger motor even on cold track. Have not really pushed the 60' at all, as looking for good bracket combo.

Radials keep getting better from all the OEM's and much more stable. Don't be afraid to try different setup's for your car.

Good luck,

Ken
