Default 3rd generation Camaro/Firebird headers by Hedman

Hedman builds a 3rd generation 1 3/4 x 1 7/8 header that has the tubes exit into a "flat" collector. That is to say, all tubes are side by side, horizontal as they enter the collector. Thus, giving excellent ground clearance.

The design looks good and I think it will fit my combination well.

But before placing the order, do some of you know racers running this header?

Thumbs up Re: 3rd generation Camaro/Firebird headers by Hedman

Larry, My son Bryan had a set of them on his 85 camaro stocker and think they were faster than any thing he has tried since. I am putting a set back on next year!

Jorge Carnero, Hugh Meeks come to mind right now. I know they are both happy with them . Note- I think you will have to use a shorter oil filter, but it should clear without using an adapter.

oil filter will not be a problem with the hedmans , but after running them on two different third gen stockers the ones i had built by pete z. were better quality, fit better and were faster in my opinion than the hedmans

There will be ground clearance problems with that header. They also make a special order three step that is better than that. For the money call up Pete Z and order a set of his with a merge megaphone collector... KO
