Default 1955 265 wcfb carb

Is the 1955 wcfb carb a one year only carb,or are other year wcfbs legal also?In the NHRA blue print specs the legal measurements are 1313x1313 and 163x0938. thanks

I don't remember about the 1957, but the 1955 & 1956 were the same, except for the 2X4 1956 WCFBs which were bigger.

The original 1955 265 wcfb was different in that it had reverse throw linkage. The base plate was extended upward on the driver's side to accept the linkage.

1955,1956 wcfb carb
The size is listed as 1.063x.938 for wcfb for 55 and 56.
The roch. is listed for 56 only at 1000x1.063, a bit larger.
My late brother Rick went back an forth with both 55 and 56 and never got the roch. as fast as the wcfb.
The 2x4 carbs are an automatic 4 tenths-same block,same car.

.4, yep

We started out in SS/PA with the single larger WCFB and switched to NA with the 2-4's

4 tenths is exactly what we saw, but the fun meter was much higher!
