Yes you can...see #8 on the application form. Runs to be "representative" so should be at least in the 5.70's. If you don't have much seat time I would highly recommend Hawley's school, it goes way beyond just driving. Frank is great.

Jason

On the back of the NHRA application for NHRA license and competition number registration under the License regulations / general paragraph 8. it states "Class 4 license runs can be completed at an eighth mile track. For class 1,2,or 3 license runs 1,2,3,4 can be completed at an eighth mile track but runs 5 &6 must be completed at a quarter mile track.
So If your not planning on going faster than 7.50 a class 4 license will suffice and you can get those license passes done at an 1/8 mile track.
Note the index for Super comp for eighth mile is 5.70.
You can down load the License and medical forms from you local NHRA divison web site.

(Damn it Carter beat me on reaction time! )

Jason,
Remember before any license runs are made you have to remove the Mustang from your dragster.

So true.....the guy that hit us is denying all damages. feels it wasnt his fault.....he just didnt see us. The next time i see Norm Hirter at the racetrack he is prolly gonna have a bad day. Meanwhile everything to get back on the track should be here tomorrow, gotta get to work.

im starting to find a little humor in it now that i got to make a shake down pass friday.....car is ok ! went to a local 1/8th mile with a horrible transition. long story short it went 547 at 124 spinning the tire pretty good after the transition bump and lifting a bit early. should go mid 30s on a decent track and thats more than i expected out of this mid compression over headed 468 test engine. im putting the finishing touches on the 555 heart replacement.
