Default New CM leaf spring perches available

I've had my share of bad experiences with spring perches in the past.

I see that Calvert Racing makes a nice leaf spring perch. It is longer than typical which helps displace the load. It is boxed in for strength. The radius fits half way around the axle tube for greater strength (typically the radius only wraps around 1/4 maybe 1/3rd of the axle tube). They also have tabs built in that make the perch stand off the axle tube 1/8" for better weld penetration. These sell for $39 each.

I asked if they could make the same spring perch in 3/16" Chrome Moly instead of mild steel. They insisted this was not necessary. I said, get me a quote anyway. They did. They are now going to offer these in either MS or CM. The price is double for CM, $78 each. My pair were sent out yesterday and I should have them in my mailbox by Tuesday. They made 100 sets so if you need a pair, call them.
