Check out the Redalert System.

Gasoline temperatures should be around ~1300F.

Phil,

They still work. Key is not to get too hung on the exact number, but to keep records and see what changes do what. Both your mechanical changes and the air!

Reason is that every probe in a header is a little different than the next car's, different port flow, etc. Lots of variables. As Altronics said, max gas you want is about 1300. I ran a two channel system on one of my cars, but had bungs in all the headers. Could move them around as needed. Testing I would look for hotter or cooler cylinders.

Good luck
Ken

altitude-weather-fuel mixture-header size/design engine tune up can all contribute to varying exhaust temps---KEEP records that will tell you a lot --also dont let it get too hot you'll end up doing damage--- burnt pistons or valves, cracked seats, warped heads , blown head haskets etc
