Default SS carb/throttle body rule

What's the rule? I know it has to go in same direction as factory but does it matter if it a factory piece.. specifically throttle body..Same size holes is all that matters or do I have to have the part number specific throttle body?

Brad, You wouldn't need a specific part number...Just a Ford part with the correct venturi size...unless there is an accepted aftermarket part i.e. Edelbrock for a Qjet or Quick Fuel for a Holley.

So on the 2010 352 CJ combo. Accufab actually made the 4 hole throttle body.. Ford racing doesn't sell the throttle body anymore and Accufab does, but it has Accufab all over it instead of Ford Racing.. It's also about $70 cheaper than I can find one on ebay that has the Ford markings and I also have a Ron's Racing fuel injection unit that is obviously not the right piece but it has 4 holes and they are the correct size.. would I have to get either of those approved by NHRA because they aren't the actually Ford pieces??

I believe you would need to get it approved just like the quick fuel or edlebrock carbs.
