Default msd grid shift light problem

I have a 7730 grid that has the shift light on (grounded) when the ignition is turned off.
It functions normally when the ignition is on. It activates at the proper rpm for the shift points. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Default Re: msd grid shift light problem

Your shift light bulb 12volt side is still powered up when the ignition is off. otherwise the bulb would not come on. The grid will likely rest at ground on the shift light output side when the grid is off. move the wire that powers the shift light bulb to another power source that is off when the ign is off
