The caption says that 110 s/g cars were there to qualify. The Vega at the back of the line is the Rupert's Speed" sponcered car of defending Div.2 champion, David Simmons. David ran at my home track alot in the late seventies and early eighties.

I think thats the car that Simmons nephew Jonathan Anderson races at Reynolds some times. Still winning rounds too.
