I'm sure someone on here knows what it took last year. I am not sure if the number will be much worse than last year. I think the fast guys will just be higher in the tree, but the last will not be much different than last year. However, I was wrong once before in the spring of 72 I think it was. Stock Eliminator

.870 in stock, .686 in super stock. I happened to be #128 last year in SS, lol.

Well Joe, with the removal of the AHFS I believe your statement to be dead on. The top of the tree will be littered with new cars while the bottom will be around .800 under. For SS I see a .700 under.
Would love to see a couple of U/SA in the top spots. #1 qualifier should be entered into the Factory Shootout as a blocker. Ron Ortiz U/SA sorry I can't make it.

They should make the Factory Shootout 2 16-car fields and put them in the show Sunday/Monday.
One for the superchargers and one for the NA cars. That will wipe close to 32 factory cars right out of qualifying.

Looking at last year's entries that qualified @ .999 or under in Stock makes me wonder how many of those were "throttled back" to prevent triggering a review.
With that said, I believe the bump will be in the .930 range simply because there will not be very many holding back, plus the addition of the new combo entries.

Last year was .870 in Stock and .686 in Super Stock. With that being said and no AHFS this year things could be interesting. I believe S/S won't change much, probably .700. However, Stock should be fun. I agree with Ron Ortiz, I would love to see one of the many U/SA on top. I think the cut off will be .950, possibly higher, in Stock.

It all depends upon the weather. Last year, runs slower than 1.20 under didn't count towards the average so the slower cars weren't exactly holding back. -0.89 under if the weather stays around the same.

I'm going to say I am about a tenth short of what the bump will be, depending on the weather ofcourse.
