Wow Asta, you waited patiently, NOT, you never campaigned for the honor, NOT, you never spoke bad about other winners, NOT, and last you never greased anyones palms with dinero or even a For Real tee shirt, NOT, yet I wonder how those judges got those shirts they were wearing .
With that said.....

THAT CAR IS MAGNIFICENT AND WAS WAY OVER DO IN GETTING THIS HONOR.

Well, they took the "big" check back so it can be reused ( go figure!?) and as NHRA does, they are mailing the check!!!
Finally though, John got his wish!! Still waiting to hear if that $250 is deducted from the check!!

Really - CONGRATS John!! Your car is a great car!!!

I cannot believe you people.......this award is just merely a continuation of a dynasty.....

Its no secret ladies and gents....Mr. Asta has been busy with awards....do your research....In five minutes this is what I've found in a simple internet search....

1. Kobolt Tools 500, Atlanta Motor Speedway....won best appearing black car.
2. Samsung 500, Texas Motor Speedway....won biggest big block contest and burnout contest.
3. Dodge Challenger 500, Darlington....won lowest GM car to not scrape on the track.
4. Rolling Wheels Raceway Park, DIRT event...won cleanest entry.
5. Best Buy 400 at Dover Int. Speedway, won most likely to vault the fence in any turn.
6. Eldora Speedway, DIRT event, the car won the wet t-shirt contest, (models posed on the roof and hood)
7. NHRA events in NJ (TWO).....

It is amazing that a drag car can win in Nascar and Dirt, John's accomplishments are crossing boundaries and breaking down walls...
I think there may be more but I'm going dizzy from the all the reading. Its just too much!

Thanks to all for the kind words.

I would much rather be getting ink for a win but I guess this is better than nothing. Like I said last year, the dog has already chewed the base of the Wally but I will be happy to cash the check.

Rock, that young women in the picture is my younger sister and that kid is someone who kept following me through the pits.

Derek, was that glazed look in my eye that obvious?

Gary, what happen to the free ice cream? You lose first round and stiff everybody at the track.
