Default IHRA crate motor questions

I am interested in building a 347 for IHRA crate motor, however I do not want to use the Boss Block. Can I substitute a factory 289 or 302 block instead?

Are all of the internal components compatible?

I would call Hank Blankenship or Mike Baker about this.

With a high HP factor of 430, that combo seems like it would be tough to run.

What klind of vehicle are you thinking about putting it in?

I am going to be using a 1988 Mustang LX.
All the internals should be compatible with my early 90's block.
