Heads up racers. Harbor Freight is recalling numerous jackstands that have COLLAPSED under a load....I don’t want to lose any more racers/friends ....This reminds me of a conversation I overheard at Beech Bend one hot afternoon. Someone told D-2 stock Eliminator racer Brian Rogers that they were putting a STICK in their car and asked for his advice. His reply was simple,..Go to Walmart and buy the BIGGEST jackstands that they sell !!!! ....

Coincidently, I was so fed up with my old piece of crap Chinese floor jack, I went searching for a replacement that wasn't made in China and didn't use Chinese hydraulics. Finding a good quality floor jack wasn't easy....ended up with an AC Hydraulics jack from Denmark. I did a video on picking a jack:

I have a couple of their stands holding up the back of my trailer along with the tongue jack so the tires don't get flat spots. Now, 2 years ago, I had one of my trucks on old American stands and my trusty 45yr. old Walker decided it didn't want to pick my truck up so I could get it down and get my wife from work. Had to go to chinee freight for something, got a 3 ton aluminum jack, which worked fine after I fixed it. I don't trust it or lie under it, but I had to do something, as where I now live, I am the only one with tools or use them.John Kissel K242
