I put together a 4.310 x 4.00 BBC 467 Cu In, 10.3 compression, 781 oval port heads, 1.88/2.190 valves, Performer RPM air gap intake, 4150 carb with a 1 inch open spacer. Hyd roller cam 238/248/.578/.608/110, 1.7 rocker ratio. My goal is a 9 sec pass in my Chevelle. Here's some pictures of the build.

My car weighs 3500 pounds race ready, but I do have a weight box, probably be in 2800 DA conditions for the test which is coming this weekend, this is a expedited dyno/drag test.

Excellent question, no I didn't but we both know it going to have to go 7000 RPM at the line, and I've run that valve train that high before in a 496 before. BTW I'am a BIG fan of the work you do with your Camaro! I'am thinking you've noticed my dyno data other have not. Here's a simulation of a 496 with the same cam and valve train.

Thanks for the input, Tx conditions are horrible due to the GOW, its not very often we get excellent conditions, maybe one race a year. This is what I think I will have to work with this weekend. When I lived in Colorado it was always about the baro, when I moved to Tx its always about the humidity, the killer of HP.
80 degrees 78 Humidity 120 GOW 29.5 Baro 2400-2800 DA 475 Elevation |

That's what I was thinking, climbing slowly so only another hp or two at 6500, so, 606hp, maybe holding to 6700 but I don't see any jumps in power above 6500rpm.
