best motor and car combination for the money
i know there is no cheap way in the sport. but can someone point me in the right direction on what the cheapest car to build

Probably something really slow. That turbo PT Cruiser blasted the index a year or so ago. I think it went something like -1.8 under the index. It must have gotten a bunch of HP since I haven't heard of it since.

Probably one of the worst cars for V/SA...2 speed, small cam ,small carb.
If you 're in love with the car, you should make it a 64 and put a 283 in it for J,K,L. There are plenty of guys on here that can help you with that one.. You're not going to slap together a cheap 283 and be competitive in those classes though... You still haven't defined "cheap" from your perspective...
