How will an Accountant feel with the less entries to events
WOW if a person can multiply the number of race entries allowed times say 100 less entries into those races times 25 races the amount of money they are leaving on the table is huge > wonder how the accountants feel about that ?
wow of there were no sportsman in the pits how would a fan feel about the deserted pits look like no one is racing .I wonder what a accountant would feel about that ,say if there were no sportsman in the pits about the lack of money ?? just some questions . during my down time lol

Fans that only show up at national events on Sunday are used to seeing empty pits. They don't care about Sportsman racing. They are there to see the Pros.

I think stock racers have a challenge ahead with NHRA, the aftermarket and mail order parts. They are in business together, effectively. Harder to find older castings etc., could lead to liberal rule changes. The appeal isn't there for the new generation fans either. They head for concessions and bathrooms for FS/XX. I doubt everybody that makes partner decisions, are as charmed with S/SS Eliminator as the old timers are. Just thinking out loud... Mike A114 Last edited by Mike Jones; 01-18-2018 at 01:01 PM. |

There may be a handful of S/SS Racers who DON'T have a stash of the correct casting number parts that they need to race their combo. That's just a B.S. line put out there by the people who are trying to "liberalize" the rules. And if you DON'T have the correct casting number parts, there's newer combos out there for those to run. The "old timers" are the ones with the talent, time and money. And (arguably) S/SS are the healthiest Eliminators right now.

Re: How will an Accountant feel with the less entries to eve
Although we feel the need to forecast the future in a dismal fashion,
today's reality is that we bust ourselves towing long distances to accumulate Grade points so that we can enter the National Events that we would like to attend. From a business model point of view, NHRA'S handling of this is very smart. It would be similar to telling you that you must attend 5-8 farm team games before you could buy a ticket to see the New York Rangers. If the owners thought they could get away it, they would. Most savvy business owners would. Remember, we DO want NHRA to remain strong financially and viable in the future. We love racing, there always be hurdles, adjust and move forward. The Good Old Days are gone. These are the Good New Days. J.R. Haddad. |

Re: How will an Accountant feel with the less entries to eve
I am going to try and do the Math > 25 races a year times less 100 racers per event at say at roughly $ 400 per racer equals ? a pretty chunk of change .WOW what will or would replace that loss of income is a good question

Empty pits will be replaced with carnival rides.

Re: How will an Accountant feel with the less entries to eve
The ARMY has a pretty big one already and will add zip lines, Harley will set up a small pylon riding course (they are in hot pursuit of the millennials), more Virtual racing and of course more DSR and JFR big rigs...they won't even know we're gone. Of course when DSR and JFR departs the big top comes down.
