Look out for shady Tulsa hotel
Country Inn and Suites in Tulsa, OK has basically stolen $225 from me and my brother. We stayed there for the D.4 points race and paid cash up front. They held the room with my debit card, and when we checked out they charged my card anyway. Now they're claiming that we didnt pay cash when we checked in. When we took a closer look at the receipt, it shows we payed by card...not cash! You can guess what probably happened! If you stay at a hotel for the Tulsa races, for your own sake, dont stay at the Country Inn and Suites!!!!

Re: Look out for shady Tulsa hotel
One of the cheap hotels tried to overcharge me at Indy two years ago. Plus, they ran my credit card on one of the old machines where there is a carbon copy, and when I got home there was a call from my credit card company asking me about many attempted charges on my card overseas. Hotel across from the Red Roof Inn, not sure about the name. Dyno

Re: Look out for shady Tulsa hotel
Maybe that's a reason the track recomends a different one. If you have your cash reciept, I don't see how they could argue with you. I would dispute the charges. Can you do that with a debit card, like you can a credit card?

Re: Look out for shady Tulsa hotel
I've never had one, didn't know. All I have are a few regular cards. Guess a lot of people have them, we accept them here. I don't know how his cash receipt would not prove he paid. I really hate that it happened here in Tulsa.

Re: Look out for shady Tulsa hotel
Would it have been better, if it had happened in another city?

Re: Look out for shady Tulsa hotel
Austin,
You might call the Tulsa County District Attorney: http://www.da.tulsacounty.org/ Most folks here really do not like visitors to the city being treating that way. You might not get your money back but it may get the the hotel's attention. The suggestion to call the national headquarters is a good one also. Sorry for the hassle, Bill |
