Re: Factory Stock Showdown Rule Revisions
Wow, I don't know much about that kind of stuff but isn't adding 300 lbs to combo pretty aggressive? I mean were they running off and leaving everybody? 300 lbs?

Now, they're running in FS/B with the other NA cars at 3500 lbs and the index is 0.25 slower. So, without going back and looking at the data and/or consulting with V-10 owners, I'd say a +300 lb. change is a bit excessive, but it could give them a better chance to be competitive since they don't have to run with the supercharger combinations... |

Re: Factory Stock Showdown Rule Revisions
Actually, we requested this change because even a light V10 car is 3200 lbs without a driver. So even a light driver was 150 lbs heavier than the minimum weight. It makes much more sense now, they can run with the rest of the NA cars and meet the minimum weight. It also helps the car count in FS/B since most decide not to show.

Re: Factory Stock Showdown Rule Revisions
I thought a street V8 Challenger was around 4200 lbs, how were they able to add a heavier V10 engine and drop 1000 lbs? Is there really that much electronic stuff and sound deadener in new cars?

Re: Factory Stock Showdown Rule Revisions
I've been keeping an eye on this. I didn't utilize the Factory Stock program for this year's Auto Meter Northern Class Nationals because it seemed like there was a lot of sorting out to do. I would be interested in sitting down with all the drivers at our event to discuss 2015.
