Re: New Events for 2010 at Lebanon Valley Dragway
Hi hemi, i just street race wed. Nites but i go weekends to watch you guys. Sounds like a fast car 6.50 mild tune wow. That's top sportsman et like top 5. Here at lvd anyway . $2500 for quick 8/16 you did not say what the entry fee was? Does your track make up the difference in entry for the purse? 8 or 16 divided into $2500 1st 800? 2nd 400? Semi's =$4,000 you guys would have to pay what? $500 for quick 8 and $250 for 16? Most people around here are not that flush with money you know the depression and all. I think $130 entry is fair it seems 90% of that goes to the racers. As far as racing a 11 sec car I think your looking at maybe 9 to 9.50 as the cut. Why they put 11 ? Don't know. Now the quick 16 sounds like a good deal the break is 7.49. Again for the entry it seems to go mostly back to the racers. I just don't think you can do this ($2500 1st)without charging say $200/$250/$500 people just can't afford it right now.I run a camaro too it only goes 11.80 it has a 350 chevy not a chrysler engine lol. That car @6.50 repeats/rounds et to win races ? Like to see you come up and take down those mid/low 7 sec dragsters that run dead on. That would be cool. Yes the track gets alot of cars, track conditions are great and the pits are well kept .LVD dragway also recieved excellence in management at the div.1 banquet so they must be doing things right. Hey come up and try it again like to see you go rounds from spectators point of view.

Re: New Events for 2010 at Lebanon Valley Dragway
Bill,
It seems like you already have a perfect setup for payout & safely running your 6 second car. If I were you I would stay in MD. The only reason I am saying this is because its free!!! I am pretty sure that Lebanon isnt looking to pay you to come up and play on saturdays anyway, maybe since you have a "fast ride" they can book you in... If its free to race for $2500 down by you or close to you and its a GOOD race track, then why would you make the trip. hell, let me know where those races are and I will go there. And since its my opinion only, apparently you didnt read the flyer too well because it clearly states $30 gate fee & $100 entry fee. Again this is only my opinion. Debbie Moses |

Re: New Events for 2010 at Lebanon Valley Dragway
Hi Debbie, I would not take alot of these posts from outside racers to heart. I think the racers here that race lvd dragway appreciate you and ken sponsoring the quick 32.Its a start to some different racing that might attract more cars, people, competition. Ken stepped up for this AND lets not forget he gave his services FREE to the flood victims at LVD to repair all that were unlucky enough to have their cars/trans. damaged. Thanks for stepping up Ken/Debbie.

Wow free entry and $5k to $10k races awesome. I think even the nhra big boys/crew pay to enter every full throttle series race. Must be a nice car. You might be too big for the"VALLEY". So your talking pro mod racing not backet quick 32?

Re: New Events for 2010 at Lebanon Valley Dragway
For the last several years it has been based on car count, $10 for every car (i.e. 60 cars = $600 to win).
From what I understand they may be modifying it for this year BUT I haven't seen or heard anything official yet. There was talk they may increase entry fees to increase the pay out. |
