Re: IHRA World Records T/S, T/D
I have alot of freinds in T/S and I enjoy watching the class run, however this may be just asking for trouble. I do however find it strange that this is the only sportsman elim. that can set a record at a national event. I guess Stk and S/S records don't really count anyway. Hopefully the carnage will be minimal. Not sure what it means to set a record here, when if you want to go faster you just add more NOS or overdrive the blower some more. Joe

It may hurt the class, I can see some Pro Mods coming in and laying down some sick numbers just to claim a World Record, and at the same time, they will take up however many spots in the field, possibly leaving some true""Top Sportsman" on the outside looking in. Just my .02

Yes I've seen that before @ what was the World Nationals @ Norwalk, the slow Pro mods would enter T/S just to race. Now of course every T/S guy wanted these guys first round. That being said you may see guys sacrificing some parts by loading their stuff up beyond it's intended design just to try and set the record, this unfortunately could lead to someone being hurt.
