Thumbs up Boertman and Booth

While we argue LS-1's, new cars, suddenly approved parts with uncertain documentation, lack of payouts, 1000ft racing, etc...Let's congratulate our good friend Dave Boertman on the announcement of his induction to the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame Class of 2013. Michigander and former stock/superstock racer and super nice guy Wally Booth is to be inducted as well.

Dave Boertman was the scurge of Div 3 for many races. Very Deserving. Hard worker.
Congratulations Dave.

I have never met Dave but back in the 70s at Blainey Drag Strip I lost the clutch in my 69 AMX and I was introduced to Wally who was running the Gremlin Pro Stock Car at the time and the same clutch that he was running was the same type that I had,He gave me a new disc and plate and told me to try it. I did and it worked perfect BTW I even won the race. I went to his Hauler later to pay him for the Clutch and he said that there was no charge, I tried to pay him but he smiled and said no. Wally Booth has always been one of my heros for racing AMC Cars and just being a very nice Guy.

In the day Dave was the best--i might add his partner at the time won some races also--had great backing and the ability to be relaxed when he drove--Booth/Aarons--IF you got a carb from them for your stocker--easy 3/10ths and 3-4 mph--as good as they came in pro-stock--Congrats to all of them--!!

Great full-size pic, first (full-size photo) I've ever seen of this car. Photo belongs in that 'other' sub-forum.
