Motor is a 516 and will be running a Terminator alcohol injection setup from Killer Rons. The engine sim program I have is estimating the power/tq at 725-750hp and 760-775tq and the ET sim program is suggesting high 9's/low 10's depending on the launch and shift points. Of course this all depends on the weight the chassis ends up at, and I am shooting for 3000-3200lbs. I think this is realistic with the weight reduction efforts I have done and the fiberglass parts.
This motor is a rather conservative build as I just don't want the maintenance and cost of a high compression/high lift cam setup. I had a 16:1, 8500 rpm motor in my pulling truck and didn't like the annual maintenance costs lol. I am trying to understand/figure out NHRA's classes so I don't yet know what class it will be in at this point. I intend to run the pro class at Bunker Hill with occasional runs at either Muncie or US41. Last edited by Horsinaround; 11-15-2013 at 12:26 PM. |

Basically, if you do not have a delay box, you can run Pro ET.
You can use a trans brake, 2 step, and rpm activated shifter/solenoid. If you use a delay box, you are limited to Super Pro. |
