The Midwest Class Racers Season kicked off Memorial Day weekend at Tri State Raceway at the NHRA Division 5 National Open, presented by Patterson Elite Performance.
On Saturday, 107 S/SS entries vied for the $2,000 to win payday. Saturdays #1 qualifier was Bob Siegwarth, at an impressive -1.453 under his FS/H index. The final round saw two 2024 MCR champions squaring off, as Jason DeForrest took down Tony Henderson in the final round. This is Jason?s third final of the year, previously picking up a victory at the NHRA D5 Division event at St Louis earlier this month. On Sunday 103 S/SS entries wrapped up the final day of competition. Sunday?s #1 qualifier was a repeat performance of Saturday, as Siegwarth?s Mustang ran -1.488 under to secure the top spot. The final round saw Michael Lund defeat Steve Hutar. Lund, who picked up two MCR wins last season repeated his results from the same event last year. Midwest Class Racers roll into Marion South Dakota in two weeks June 7-8, for another weekend of S/SS class racing in the Valley. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
