Hey guys I am new to drag racing however i have raced for 26 years. If a guy sets a E.T. limit on a class either make your car run that fast or just run in an other class. I can see why an advanced E.T. class car should be in its own class due to safety reasons , class rules , and those guys spent big money to go that fast. If you have a car that will run 7.70's it is not a great feat to spray it and have it go 7.49 anyway. don't be scared of nitrous just learn how to use it .( it's not that difficult) I have run cars with 2 500 h.p. systems on it and made it live. don't get me wrong we blew up alot of parts learning, however you don't have to go that extreme. Thats all I have for now. Best of luck to all this season and be safe.
P.S. support Wayne's race don't slam it. It wil only grow with support.

hey fury what have you raced before ? and do you know what your talking about ? if this is a NHRA sanctioned track it should use there rules!!!! if not dont try and call it a Top Dragster series call it a 7.49 and quicker series. or a quick 16 and feel free to spray the crap out of your cars run them heads up then you will see who has the most money ,thats my impression of what your trying to do here not grow the sport or class like another track has done

Everyone has there opinion as to how things should run. Unfortunatly it is impossible to make everyone happy when planning a series or for that matter doing anything.

The bottom line is that the desision on the dial in matter has been made. Not by Wayne or Scott but by Lebanon Valley. They are the ones hosting so we need to play by there rules. Scott has made it very clear that the lines of communication are being kept open on other matters. He has been nice enough to offer a phone number that you can call. If you dont post with a real name or call in person how do you expect anyone to contact you are take your opinions into consideration.

You say tha this series is a constest to see who has the most money. I have to ask have you met either Wayne or Scott? I dont think racing is about money for either of them. They are just committed to the sport and to the class of Top Dragster racing. Neither of them are getting anything out of this other than a series to race in just like the rest of us. If you have been racing as long as you say you should know that going fast is about a lot more than just money.

When you referred to the "other track" I would assume that you are referring to Epping. in not such a subtle way. Not that you have a reason to be subtle. They worked hard and put together a very successful series of races last year. They are making it even better this year. They are great people and great racers and Wayne has made it clear that this series was scheduled in a way to let racers who choose to be able to run both. I ran all of there races last year and had a blast doing it. I intend to run as many Epping races as my budget will allow this year also. That being said, they also had people early on last year who didn't agree with all of the rules. If you read the rules carefully they do not follow IHRA top dragster rules to the lettter either. The rules are set to best fit what works for that particular series. Every track has the right to do things in there own way. As long as this is made clear to the racers in writing what the rules are. We as the racers have the choice to participate by the rules or not participate.

Best of luck with your combination. Hope you choose to participate

We are lucky enough to live in an area with two great top dragster series!!!

CAN'T WAIT UNTILL MAY!!!!

Wow B.J. you must feel better cuz i do after hearing you .....lol....you are correct you will never please everyone ...that is why awhile back i said a meeting with all interested and track personel involved would work great ! that way there is no hidden names and if you have something to say go for it and take a vote and make a final decision so everyone can be a part of it ...lord knows wayne and scott have done a ton by them selves ! .....my feeling is if my car is fast enough i look forward to racing the series and hopefully some at ned if not just call me a bracket racer i just want it to stay together ! if anyone knows the kinda season i had last year with my two cars then you can understand i dont want breakage...lol....

if not for some super nice friends and fellow racers i wouldve been a spectator last year

Hey Brian

Are there any parts specifically that you are looking for. I will keep my eyes open for deals around.

Actually saying "I cant wait untill May" might not be such a good idea

I am going to be cutting it close to make the first weekend also. As of right now I am planning on having the car done. It did occur to me this weekend though how much I have left to do, How many parts I still need and how little time is left to do it. I would like to be done a few weeks ahead so I can test with the nitrous. As of right now I am planning on being there with bells on.

Which leads me to a nitrous question for the nitrous people on here. If I do not dyno about how many passes should I make to ensure the rings are seated before turning the bottle on. I am assuming its not a good idea to go out there with a fresh set of rings and start spraying.

If something drastic does change either way I will be at the track that weekend to lend my support and any help I can to make the first weekend run smooth.

Driveway was shoveled early this morning. I guess snow days are a perk to being a teacher.

Frank, I think I need to make a sign "Will work for Gas, Nitrous or Beer" Or, any combination of the above mentioned

Brian I will keep my eyes open and ask around
