Ya it's flat, and all the more reason we should have more than 1 drag strip. I enjoyed watching the car go down the track and was meaning to swing over to Garth and Dave's pit to have a better look at the car but was too focused on getting my new combo to work. Glad you guys had a good time and thanks for the info. Ill try some things this weekend. Good luck with the new ride.

You need a 1 - 2 degree down angle on the bottom bar in comparison to the rocker panel on your car. Get a protractor or digital level to check. If you have a forward rake and the ladder bar is parallel with the ground it will not work. As the others have said drop the front of the bar down and lower the ride height to get the geometry correct. Good luck and have fun.

68…We managed to help out Garth with an early season problem and he picked up 2 tenths. Dave is going to try something we discussed and he should also pick up also. Had dinner at Bernie's Saturday night and snuck out behind the barns. I'd like to have a couple days and an empty trailer, lots of potential out there. I'm "dyed in the wool" Chevrolet but like Satellites and Barracudas. I guess "They are the Mopars I hate the least" (LOL). Good Luck...Maurice.

Maurice,,, a '66 Chevy II Super stocker?? You better bring that thing down to Bremerton at the end of this month for the National Open race, since everything has been pushed back for Mission Raceway, with their problems up there.
Actually, quite a few Mission racers came down to Pacific and Bremerton last weekend for some racing. It was great to see some different cars,,, especially the BC Supershifters taking on the local stick shift racers. Dave Barcelon's beautiful, brand new '67 Chevy II SS/H car did very well against the other gear bangers there.

Danny…The car belongs to Gordon Merkley, he will be returning to Super Stock with the Chevy II. After the sale of his 66 SS/F Chevelle to it's new owner in Sweden, racing just hasn't been the same. Oddly enough turns out the Chevy II is the same colour as the Big Blue Chevelle. It currently has a Powerglide, but there is some extreme pressure coming from the local stick guys (I guess the clutchless 1-2 shift just isn't enough for them). His D/S 302 68 Camaro is currently being converted to a "401" head 396-375 with a G-force and Youngblood. I'm still poking at my SS/EA Nova with limitations after my surgery. There's a lot of fun on the horizon...MB.
