Brutus!
I'm the guy that qualified with the illegal carburetor on my '66 Plymouth, Brutus, at Medford last year than wrote about it on Moparmax.com. I got well deservedly skewered and schooled about the matter on this website and I wanted to share the follow up story. We got Dean Oliver to breathe on a correct Carter 525 cfm afb and he really did a great job. The car ran .6 under and went to the third round at the Division 6 opener in Boise. We couldn't be happier with the performance of what's basically a brand new car. You can read a more detailed account with photos at Moparmax.com.
You guys gave me some pretty tough love and I tried to take it to heart in a positive way. Even after building two class cars and racing for six in Stock I still feel like a freshman on the first day of school. Well, maybe a sophomore. I appreciate all the help that I get and try to pass along the favor. Have a great year! Chris Barnes Wagons of Steel Stock 6621 |
