This story sounds very familiar to a preceding organization labeled SCRA that was formed after the IHRA cut class racing out some time back. We found out then it was next to impossible for racers themselves to keep an organization alive for any period of longevity. Let me add this.....I remember that points money was not paid at the beginning of the season but "promised" at the beginning. We did get it eventually but it was very awkward telling champions at the banquet to "wait" for whenever. RULE NO 1---don't advertise a points fund on credit until the end of the season, sponsors need to pay up front. Racers get worn out with that kind of responsibility and pressure. I believe something very similiar happened to the gear jammer club events.
