I agree.

I find it interesting that OBD II cars ( 1996 and newer) are kind of rare in Class racing. ( 2008 and newer Factory Stock does not pertain here as they are not reg. production OBD II cars)

Right now the junk yards are full of 90's and 2000's performance cars ( and trucks) yet a lot of the "new" builds are 60's and 70's vehicles.

IMO, the newer cars that are in the classification guide are over factored, so racers see those high hp factors and shy away from trying a new combo.

When it comes to allowing newer cars into Pure Stock, the fear of the unknown trumps the "try it and see what happens" mentality.

As long as that fear is there, we may never see new machines at the track.
