In the spirit of capitalism and free enterprise, I'd say sure. NHRA is allowed to "make" money any legal way they want. But electric cars only exist because they (and solar, and etc.) are subsidized by the government (I.E. The TAXPAYERS). They would otherwise disappear because of the law of supply and demand. Years ago, I heard the Lydon & Johnson (I hope that's the right name.) SS/AA Cuda idling at 1800 rpm (I could see the tach while I soaked it in from behind.) at the top of the staging lanes at Maple Grove. There were no other cars or people around.
