Hi Bob,
Back about 50 years ago, when I was a Chevy guy, I took a 1/2” drive spark plug socket dropped a spark plug in let it come out through the 1/2” drive hole. The socket needed to be broached to the bottom of the socket, marked the socket to still be engaged with the hex on the plug and cut off the excess. Started the plug by hand, slipped the cut down socket over the plug with the insulator sticking through the 1/2” drive hole. Used either a box or open end wrench to finish tightening up the plug...I should have got a patent so Snap On could pay me royalties
