Default TNT 10.90 / 8.90 event Sep 13-14 at TMP to pay $1000/win (and much more) GUARANTEED!

If you had other plans for Sep 13-14, change them!

CAYUGA, ONTARIO (August 19, 2008) If you were planning on being anywhere but Toronto Motorsports Park (TMP) on Sep 13-14, you had better change your plans. The 10.90/8.90 double-header weekend presented by Bieda’s Powersports on Sep 13-14 at TMP just got a whole bunch sweeter. Sure, there is going to be two 10.90 races that weekend. And sure, there is an 8.90 race on Saturday and possibly a second on Sunday. But just listen to what’s been added for the Saturday portion of the weekend.

BOTH Joe’s Transmission TNT 10.90 Hot Rod and Scott Jahren Paint TNT 8.90 Quick Rod will pay $1000 to win Saturday GUARANTEED! And an extra $200 will go to the Dash’s Markets King of the Hill – 8.90/10.90 Saturday night run off champion – making it a $1200 night for the overall winner!

“We wanted to create an event that will be a lot of fun and will reward racers for coming out,” said Scott Jahren. “With a lot of support from some key partners, we are able to make this happen.”

‘Long haul draw for $100 gas money’ – One name will be drawn from all racers (both 10.90 and 8.90) who travel more than 90 minutes to get to the event for $100 cash! And you don’t even have to win a round to be eligible!

There will be additional awards in the 8.90 class thanks to Joe’s Transmission.
‘Best reaction time - first round loser’ will receive $50.
‘Closest to 8.90 index - first round loser’ will receive $50.
And there’s $50 cash for the #1 qualifier too!

The 8.90 class will follow IHRA’s Quick Rod rules – 8.90 index, heads up 4/10th’s tree, all-run field – qualifying based on closest to index – lane choice to better qualifier. All entries will be placed on a sportsman ladder for first round. Entry fee and payout structure is similar to the very successful TNT 10.90 class (payout based on car count). It only costs $50 to race (plus track spectator entry fee). The full $50 goes into the payout bucket. Round money for the 8.90 class will be $35 for EVERY ROUND WIN and the runner-up will receive what’s left – For example, in a 12 car field, it will pay $425 to the runner up (of course the winner is guaranteed to get a cool $1000!)

Scott Jahren Paint will pay contingency on Saturday in BOTH 8.90 and 10.90 classes – $50/win $25/ru. “You wouldn’t believe how much work Scott and his team put into this event to make it successful,” said TNT Series Director Ted Barnes. “And then to post contingency as well. They truly are a sponsor that helps out the sportsman racer.”

“And then in case that’s not enough racing for you, there will be a regular TNT 10.90 race on Sunday Sep 14 and, if there is enough interest, we’ll run an 8.90 class on Sunday too – with regular payouts,” added Ted.

Joining the action all weekend will be the Pro Modified Racing Association for their KC Auto Parts Shootout and on Sunday, the Can Am Stock/Super Stock Series.
