Hold up, time out. LNorton, forgive me but did you say that your 231/100 runs 12's? That's impressive. How deep into the 12's does your car run?

Dont forget about Harry Doolittle on the West Coast. He runs the N/SA 02 Firebird with the 231 CI V6. I think his quickest qualifying time was 12.11

HA, HA, HA...ok Lee you got me, but you did make me laugh. Of course I'll root for you and every one else's faster V6's! You remember Buddy Ingersol's twin turboed & intercooled V6 Regal that was so quick, the 500c.i. V8 Pro Stockers couldn't keep up with him :O !!! Oh how I dreamt of a Buick GNX that out of the factory couldn't be beaten in a drag race by a Porche Turbo Carrera (back in 1987)!!! Oh how I wish I would've had the pleasure of racing the baddest V6 American production Car against the baddest Porsche (period) of that year, and matching it stat for stat!!!
For that matter there's a '68, or '69 Ford Mustang that runs in Super Stock with a 6cyl engine, and at Bandimere Speedway I believe it was running somewhere between the high 11's, and the low 12's. I must say though, the 13sec & slower Stockers are the Arizona Cardinals of Stock Eliminator drag racing...GO CARDINALS!!!

Man Gary I love your enthusiasm. You may just convince me to run my 289ci/2bbl in my boat.

If that 2bbl is a Holley 500cfm'er, hold on to your hat (and keep that life preserver good and tight), because I believe they were as competitive against 4bbl's as a 340 Mopar, or a 351 Cleveland Ford were/are against some big blocks!!!
