Default Re: Top Draster wheelbase

Scott good information

I have had to explain the thing about it making the engine think its bigger to a few people who have told me I am out of my mind to run it.
The reality is that its not the black art that it used to be. I have talked to techs from just about every nitrous company out there and I have pages of notes of does and donts. Most of which are consistant from one system to another. My point being I agree on the research.

I absolutely see how nitrous could be more consistant. In a sense its a guarunteed volume of atmosphere in the engine. When the air gets worse the nozzles dont know the difference. They continue to spray the same amount of oxygen and fuel. You are less dependent on natural atmospheric pressure to fill each cylinder. Therefore a decrease in barometer is going to have less of an impact on engine power. This is why I wonder sometimes even thought the comp eliminator guys have proven that big bore short stroke makes more horsepower if for a true bracket motor longer stroke motors like 598s might be more consistant. Its the opposite of a jr. dragster motor that is very dependent on barometer because of the one cylinder flat head design with a large combustion chamber. Those motors change big numbers for a small air change.

Just my thoughts take them for what there worth (probably about $.02)
