No question that Callies is one of the best , and American made. however ,I recently broke an American made Carrillo rod with only 150 runs on it. ........Anything can and will break, regardless of where it's made. ........ As far as middle priced components go, I'd still take the SCAT over Eagle or some of the others.. .....Mainly due to the fact they are machined here not offshore,the size and finish has been excellent on the ones I've seen . ......... I guess that you would figure that you buy a "good" set of rods, they should last longer than 3 years in a mild motor.
