A torque converter that loses a tenth won't last long, and it'll let you know what the problem is.
Either the stall will go way down, or way up. BTW, anybody attempting to check stall speed with the rear wheels on the ground ,will find themselves with a long vacation from NHRA. This is in response to the fatality at Fontana recently.

i have to agree with marty ,,the track preperation has alot to to do with consistancy of 60' times ,,i know if you go on a saturday test and tune track will not be as good as a sunday points day race also,the time of day will affect track performance 12:00-2:30 with sun beating on the track will make for a greasy track
