I've never dealt with Shafiroff but I talked to a couple of builders. They all were in the same price area. I then checked with my local parts suppliers. I got a Dart little m block and found it only needed finish honed to build a 427 so why bore it for 7 cubes.
I used a 4in. eagle 4340 crank, scat rods,J&E flat tops,Comp cams roller and lifters and afresh set of track 1s. It's been 3 seasons so far with plenty of room for expansion. I run a 2300 lb. car it runs 9.0 in the 1/4. |

He was a GOD back in the day!
He ran a camaro with a 302 4bbl 4-speed and 10" tires and ran like 10.20 back in the Super Modified days. PS- that was fast back then. |
