For us non-Ford experts,,,,,,,,,

The 1969 Ford Fairlane/Torino (same car)

* Fairlane,,,,,,,,,,,(Low-level trim group)
* Fairlane 500,,,(Intermediate trim group)
* Torino,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,(High-level trim group)
* Torino GT,,,,,,,,,(High-level trim group with GT Sports Package)
* Cobra,,,,,,,,,,,,,,(428 Cobra-Jet engine, standard engine)

Note: The 302-2V / 210 HP was the standard engine on all Fairlane/Torino models, except for the Cobra.

Note: The bucket seats and center-console were a required option ($54) for the Cobra
'Hardtop' model.

Ford Cobra experts,,,

1968 question

The 428/335 HP Cobra-Jet was available in the
1968 Fairlane, Fairlane 500, Torino and Torino GT

The 'R' Code Ram-Air was available in the Fairlane, Fairlane 500
and Torino, after April 1, 1968.

The Torino GT could only have the 428/335 HP 'Q' Code (non-Ram-Air)
version.

Paul,
I have not seen a documented 1968 Ram Air Torino, Fairlane or Ranchero.
All 1968.5 ones I have seen are non-ram air cars
Don't forget in 1968 Ford Mustang literature {produced in the summer of 1967}
list a 427 as an option, none were ever made
