Paul,
There was an article in one of the east coast magazines (possibly Cars Illustrated) that had a road test on the then new 69 1/2 6 BBl Superbee that mentions they got a guy named Marshall Gold to do the test driving and that he spent his spare time rowing the shifter on an SS/B Hemi Dart. I contacted Al Kirchenbaum (who wrote the srticle) and he didn't remember this - possible lead on the Manhatten Speed Shop Dart?? Mark J |

Demented dart LO23 and Mr 5 and 50 BO29 for sale at Barrett Jackson 2012. They indicate incorrectly that the dart was the only export car, guess they don't know about the Old Trapper sold new out of Calgary.

Mark,
Still searching on the Marshall Gold connection. Al Kirchenbaum was Rockville Centre Dodge Performance Car manager around mid-1969. I believe he was the 'care-taker' of the 440/6 'press test car', also. If there is a connection, Marshall Gold could have been the driver of the Manhattan Speed Parts Dart, or driver of the Mutt Brothers Dart (ex S & K Dart), or did Rockville Center Dodge have a LO23,,,,,,,,???? pc |
