I think the socket u are looking for is a 1/2 inch drive about 5 inches long---u might look at a Snap on SIML200 or some thing like that not sure on the part number but Snap on did/does sell them you can get from 1/2inch to about 3/4 inch---used for taking off gas tank straps alot

Yup its what I need, but the siml200 and ones like it are only 6 point and I need a 12 point version...

make one ---machine a 12 point onto a 6 point socket and weld it up

do not think your gonna find a 12 point impact of any kind---they just do not make it unless it is a special tool might try a cycle shop they use oddball stuff like that but its probably gonna be a metric!!!!! if ya get it from a bike shop---we made one similiar to what you looking for--
