I will be headed out shortly to have conversation with my hero.......my dad. He (and my mother) are at the National Cemetery in Phoenix. He was a POW in WWII. When anyone writes about "The Greatest Generation", they are talking about my dad.

Happy Arm Forces Day all.
My father was in 25th Infantry Tropic Lightning. In Korean War 1950-51. Was 19-20 years old over there fighting.
He is buried in PineLawn National Cemetary in North Babylon since 1978, so I never got to ask any questions as I was very young. But still very proud.

Thank you Eddies66. The ball is rolling. My friends mom spoke w John, papers going out tomorrow. Told her to be aware American Legion will contact her, and left it at that. she sounds so well now. Thank you.

I am not done, I have Jackie at AMVETS in Fort Myers standing by to provide transportation for Ms Cafaro, I don't have Ms Cafaro's number so I gave AMVETS yours. Again, I am willing to pay for Ms Cafaros membership in the American Legion Post 90 so they can be the advocate to pursue her claim for a WWII widowers pension via the VA. Everyone agrees that 13 months is too long and the VA's excuse is unacceptable. Her Congressmen is next on the call list.
