My dad used to use it on his aching knees.
He was an ex pro footbal player having played in the late 30s, when safety wasn't just secondary, it never even came into the equation. and as a defensive end, he had a few folks cut him at the kness. Crackback blocks were common. So as got into his sixties, his kness acted up. And he swore that WD-40 made a difference for him. He would rub it into his knees a couple times a week. I never tried it myself, but maybe I will now that I have been reminded of it. David The New Hemi Guy |

As I recall it was DMSO , an industrial solvent , which was found to be an effective joint pain reliever about 20 years ago . Possibly WD40 contains DMSO as a solvent .

I worked w a guy who swears by dmso. I tried it, crazy burning feeling on my shoulder. supposedly to be used after an injury as opposed to an old one. dunno. But its off my bucket list now, been there done that, lol.
