Weather.com has changed their forecast from this morning from a 60% chance of rain to now only 30% as of 5pm. they have the showers rolling in overnight and as the day progresses , chance of T - storms. fingers crossed, hope we get this one in ! Moller load up that race car !!

Just got the call from Kevin that today's race has been cancelled due to weather. It has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 21.

Coming up this Sunday, October 21st--CCRA Race #4 at Piedmont Dragway...Gates open at 11 a.m....1st time run for CCRA at 12:30 p.m...hope to see everyone there!!!

Hoping 3rd time is the charm!!!

Well it took 3 tries but we finally got this race in the books. I can honestly say that it was well worth the wait. Tracy Robbins joined the points today & then won the $25 Kenny Koonce Jr. Dash for Cash which qualifies him for the special shootout race to be held at our last event at Fayetteville. We had 45 cars make the first round call which is the best for the 2012 season!!! Sterling Simmons won the $50 Best Losing Package. That's ok Sterling, since you left I'll have your $$$ next weekend

!! Phil Hilling won the $50 for his .001 reaction time during 2nd round. He was also the lone semi-finalist. Ken Myrick took the win today when his opponent Doug Hobgood went red. Thanks to everyone that came out today & have been supporting the CCRA during the 2012 season. As of today, we are 1/2 way through our schedule. We have a race next Saturday at Darlington Dragway, next Sunday at Fayetteville Motorsports Park, followed by another one at Piedmont & Fayetteville in November.
