I went through this entire topic in search of a Mr. Ed A990.
Other than a couple of Ed Miller shots, these are the only photos I could find of anything with the name "ED" on it. ![]() There a a number of really great cars and photos in here. You should review it sometime...........lol. ![]() Last edited by Charlie A; 01-29-2014 at 11:13 PM. |

That car with Fast Ed was owned by Ed Ecenrode. He was a Chrysler service rep. He is retired. Don't know who owned before Fast Eddie talked to him at Eldora Raceway reunion this past summer.

J Oliverio is right, at the time of these pictures this car was owned by Eddie Eckenrode from the Pittsburgh area. I think the pictures were taken at PID. This car was Butch Leals original 65 A990 that he ran back in 65. (not the Butler Built car that Leal ran in the mid 70's). I think the car is in NJ now. |

The Butler built car was run by Bill Diehl at Keystone Raceway Park back in the day and was once monikered "Steel City Hemi". |

I am not sure about this but was told fast eddies car was run also as a altered wheel base car.never did ask ed about that. We ran with eddie with our ss/ ea conv. Eddies car is one of the reasons we bought our A990 cars.

Eddie did show me years ago that the rear wheel openings were patched back in stock. It didn't look to be radically altered like the AF/X were. |

I often wondered whose car Billy had. I never put two and two together even after seeing the Butler bars. I always thought it was a Barnett built car. Billy ran a few different paint jobs on that car as well.
