Since I got access to the car I fiqured I'd take some pictures of the damage on the quarter for the whole world to see. Can't believe I'm doing this . Most guys would be hiding that, but, noooo, not me. I need everyone to see it. I believe it's this cars particular "trademark" liteweight Right quarter panel ![]() door ![]() Last edited by Liteweight; 03-11-2014 at 09:10 AM. |

I fiqure now is a good of time as any to dispell the misinformation of many years about the acid dipping of tin that were installed on the LO & BO cars. The parts I speak of consist of the front bumper & doors. They were STAMPED from thinner guage tin,NOT, acid dipped.Reason for that statement is I have had parts acid dipped, & when they come back, it is very evident . All the edges come to a near point because the acid is eating away at them.
I have looked at ALOT of original doors & bumpers over time & all the original parts are very easy to pick out. They all have crisp square edges, everywhere. Just a little triva for ya's to help set the record staight (I hope) liteweight |

Thanks for the continuing education Daryl! I did not know that the parts were simply stamped from lighter material.
