Hi Guys, Just an update. We have not had a chance yet to do any runs. I was doing some homework on my setup and went to check the tires I have on the car. When I purchased them the Hoosier website said they were stiff side wall, now the website did not say anything, so I emailed the guy I bought them from and he said they were just standard slicks. The part no. is 18400 33.0 / 16.0-15 Hoosiers. The catalouge that came with them shows an asterix next to the part no. to denote that they have a stiff side wall. Catalouge is 2013. Looks like they might be standard. Can I make these tires work for me or should I get a set of stiff side wall tires. What is the best brand ?. Car weight is 2400 pound sedan, BBC with powerglide. Approximately 900 hp. Was considering a set of Mickey Thompson's.
Thank you for any ideas you might have, Patrick. |
