Default Re: '67 Camaro E/SA redo

Just got home from the Reunion and I'm completely cooked and beat. I'm hooked tho and I'll be back for more next year.

Ran second round early this morning and lost a squeaker. Disappointed, but not ashamed of my effort...made a good clean pass. It was very fast early on and most runs were double breakouts. I stabbed the brakes hard but not soon enough...

My opponent and I had a good laugh after the run about the peddle fest...at least I lost to another Chevy. His car...

We had a few track mishaps this weekend. A Gasser hit the wall Friday and sheared his front-end off. Another Gasser took a tumble after the finish line today and ended up on it's side. Both drivers were ok, but it was a shame to see such art damaged.

There was also an accident on the return road Friday afternoon involving a RatRod and a young lady on a 4-wheeler. I think she is alright...they took her to the hospital as a precaution.

From my experiences this weekend I tend to think the 4-wheeler was probably more to blame for the incident. They really need to re-think their policies regarding pit vehicles for these events. It was a madhouse every day with golf carts, 4-wheelers, humarounds and kids on bicycles flooding the return road and staging area. One could barely get to staging when called or back to the pits after a run. There appeared to be no speeding involved in the accident, but I question the need for non-race vehicles to be traveling the wrong direction on a return road in the first place...this happened just past the exit from the scales. The pedestrians were just as bad at times...like threading a needle just to get your car to staging or return to your pit space. Hell, a kid almost walked into my trailer as I was leaving the track this evening...luckily I had one eye on the mirror and was able to brake quickly.

Here is what I had to contend with all weekend. Will be glad to get the Q-jet and intake back on the car. Had I managed to go more rounds I bet they would have started looking for a throttle stop lol.
