The two day Combo meet at Bowling Green this Saturday and Sunday was cut short by one day due to rain. Sunday brought fair weather and the meet went on as planned.

We had some time to kill early Sunday morning before leaving for the track so my partner and I decided to go check out the Corvette Museum since neither of us had ever set foot in the door.

Partner hard at work as usual...

I did not have a camera with me so I used the cell phone for the first time in my life...please excuse the quality. It was hard to believe the damage incurred to those cars from the sinkhole...I don't think a car crusher could have done as much damage. Only four cars were salvageable, the rest being totaled. From what I understand the wrecks are to be put back into the hole.

Spied this car on the way out...

Yeah, we bought twenty tickets...suckers!

Final point of the evening. I have come to the conclusion there is absolutely nothing wrong with our car other than the fact it simply doesnt make enough horsepower to compete with other cars in it's class. Motor is coming out and we will see what can be done to rectify the situation...maybe some new paint at the same time. I'll post any progress.

Amazing the damage done there.

I did not want to come on here and post sooner as to why your car was somewhat slow untill you realized yourself the engine is not making the HP it needs to.

MPH is always a good indicator and your numbers are weak...

I would expect it needs to run at least 115-116 to be decent.

Agreed Rich - We have exhausted all other possibilities and feel the rest of the combination is spot on...all we need now is a motor to complete it.

On our journey from Lexington to Nashville a couple of weeks ago from and to a basketball tourney, we stopped by the Corvette Museum. What a spectacle! I agree, I don't think a car crusher could do any worse damage to the 4 totaled Vettes. Otherwise, a great tour stop. My first time there.

Thanks for posting the pics.
