Guys, the rulebook states, about three times, heater controls must remain in dash.
There were some GM cars made that were heater delete. A friend had a 68 Chevelle with NO factory heater or defroster ,that he had shipped back here from Hawaii when he got out of the Army... So that would be your point of defense. There are a few ounces worth of switches and levers that can be trimmed off the back side of the control panel.
