A: You grab 3 other guys,, a trailer, a pickup and drive straight through for 39 hours from Seattle to Indy to pick up your racecar,, then hot tail it back home so you can run the thing here in some good air. Did it back in 2003,,, former Shipp family Nova now out here on the west coast.

The Super 10 is race ready. We are running the S/SS combo Saturday morning at Texas Motorplex and the no box bracket race Saturday night.

Some appearance details remain but they will not affect performance.

Good luck on your shakedown outing, Larry. Many of us have enjoyed following along on this build,, even the corny Christmas song countdown was amusing. Hope the new car bugs are few, and the new car rewards are plenty. Make sure to have a video camera nearby. Take care.

There used to be a KILLER BBQ trailer next to a beer store right
down the road from the track. Best back door stuff that I've had.
And the beer was cheap and ice cold.
Have a great weekend and thanks for the ride on your build.

Our Super 10 outing today at the Texas Motorplex was a complete success!

The truck performed as we planned, like Bob Frey said, "straight down broadway"

However, the Texas heat was brutal,

*100 - temp
*3900 DA
*of course, very hot track

At 3275 pounds it ran 10.48 on the first full pass, this is very good given the conditions.

The one problem we encountered is the truck is 90 pounds lighter than we expected. I had already entered the race as a "C" truck so I could not move up a class. In addition, we had no reasonable/safe way to add 90 pounds within the time constraints.

So, in order to not create a problem I withdrew from the SS race and ran the no-box bracket program. We got the first round win, lost second round and came home very happy.

More updates and plans and details soon. I am too tired to continue just now.
