Update - Spent a day last weekend doing test and tune to try and get jetting/timing set, and get some 1/4 mile times.. Best was 14.87 at 1700 D/A. Most were 14.92-14.94. Best was with .064 jet and 40 timing.
So readjusted the valves based on some ideas from this site, for racing this weekend, and HOORAY went 14.84 - UNDER NHRA 1/4 index for the first time. Two other runs 14.91 (changed shift points) and 14.90 first round elims(dialed to high-opponent had way better lite and I dialed a little to high-broke out). The track had issues with the MPH clocks so no 1/4 MPH data for any runs. I also put on new front tires-same size-and consensus was less rolling resistance since riding on the new tire 'nubbies'-LOL.

update- November 11 2015 at Virginia Motorsports Park. Three runs in the 14.7's in 1/4, at last under NHRA index. Incredible air, like 95 adjusted altitude. Best of 14.700 at 87.67.

Been accumulating some parts for a 350 2bbl motor, finally have everything (used of course) so going to try my hand a building an engine. Haven't done that in years, just want to give it a go. Going thru all that I have, cleaning parts, picking out the best. Hope to have it in and tested by Charlotte LODRS.

I did, and it looks pretty good. But I came across a bunch of very decent 350 pieces/parts for reasonable cost, plus I had a lot of stuff laying around. So won't have more than 2-2.5K in it, and it should be a decent piece. And I can just change the manifold and carb (and year) to a 4bbl and run another 4 classes (automatic) or so. Hey, just having some fun, haven't built an engine in 40 years!
